About Lana Labs
As a company, we have been active in the heart of Berlin since 2016. Lana Labs was originally founded by the innovation manager Karina Buschsieweke and the Process Mining experts Dr. Thomas Baier and Dr. Rami-Habib Eid-Sabbagh from the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam.
Lana Labs was acquired by Appian, the leading low-code automation platform, in 2021.
Lana Labs is a team of international process and IT experts. As specialists for AI-supported analysis of business and production processes, our goal is to make companies smarter, more efficient and faster through automated process analysis. We achieve this with our Process Mining software LANA, whose complex machine learning algorithm is unique on the market.
At Lana Labs, efficiency is closely linked to sustainability – through more efficient processes, we as a company save resources and increase the satisfaction of our employees.
Our claim is to make the world a better place every day with LANA Process Mining – process by process and in everything we do.

Dr. Thomas Lutterbeck has been developing Process Mining solutions for over 10 years. His experience as a process analyst and a PhD in Process Mining at the Hasso Plattner Institute lay the foundation for the technology behind LANA Process Mining and the strategic further development of the software.

As an expert for innovation management in digital transformation, Karina Buschsieweke and her marketing team support companies in the successful introduction and implementation of LANA Process Mining. Her mission is to increase the understanding of Process Mining in companies.
Dr. Rami-Habib Eid-Sabbagh
Founder & CBDO
Dr. Rami-Habib Eid-Sabbagh holds a PhD from the Hasso Plattner Institute and is an expert in end-to-end process analysis and optimization. With his expertise in business process management, he enables LANA’s customers and partner network to realize the full potential of their processes through Process Mining.
Dan Wucherpfennig has a degree in computer science and spent more than two years at omni:us as Chief Growth (CGO) and Chief Delivery Officer (CDO). Prior to that, he was Managing Director and COO at Leverton and Director of Services at Abbyy Europe, where he was able to contribute his extensive expertise in the areas of sales, client services and operations.
Vice President Engineering
Jens Göring has more than 10 years of experience as a software development manager in an international environment. During his time in Singapore, he supported several young companies to scale up their teams while maintaining their startup character. His enthusiasm for agile software development enables him to give the Lana Labs team the right focus and enable them to achieve the planned goals.
Vice President Sales
The Senior Enterprise Sales Manager Nicole Becker worked for twelve years in various management positions and most recently as Senior Sales Director at SAP Germany, where she successfully expanded new customer business for the manufacturing and automotive industry. During her time at SAP, the business administration graduate also completed her MBA in Global Business at the University of Louisville, USA, with distinction.

Sassan Schirazi’s past 20 years have been characterised by strategic corporate planning, optimisation of business performance, and sustainable product and portfolio conceptualisation.
With a degree in Automotive Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, he has become an expert for digital service and business models. In various companies, he was responsible for new business fields in the context of national and international projects in the areas of smart mobility, smart buildings and retail.
Vice President Marketing
Strategic marketing, brand management, digital and content marketing in the B2B environment and the public sector are all part of Gesa Rasch’s profile. Just like her journalistic roots at ARD, from which she also brings with her perspectives of corporate communications. As a consultant, strategy coach and in various management positions, she has assisted national and international projects with transformation processes in the areas of innovation food, metal, electronics, and enterprise IT for more than 20 years.
During the 4th International Penguin Conference in the year 2000 in Chile, the international science community decided on the official name for a group of penguins on land – “a waddle of penguins”.
